The Sister Chess Set is a ceramic chess set made by hand, made to be played on and lived with as much as admired. Each piece is shaped with care, so that the two sides sit together as sisters: related in spirit, yet never identical. It is a quiet invitation to slow an evening down and give a game its full attention.

Every piece began as clay in the maker's hands, formed, finished and fired one at a time rather than produced in a batch. Small differences between the pieces are part of the story, a trace of the hand that made them. Each set is numbered by hand, so the one that comes to you is the only one of its number.

The Sister Chess Set is one of an edition of exactly 10, released as part of this month's Chapter. When the Chapter retires at month-end, the edition closes and will not be made again. One set remains on ceradix.ae.
